Bye Barcelona baby

So the day is here. I'm not a Barcelona resident anymore. One hour ago I arrived in Paris at Gare de Lyon after an 8 hours train ride with a short stop in Lyon. I feel sad and grateful at the same time. Sad that I had to leave beautiful Barcelona with the amazing beach and crazy nightlife, sad not to work under the hot sun every day and mostly sad to have left the people that treated me like family for 2 months. 2 months of a crazy roller coaster filled with laughter, love, friendships, soulmates, speaking all kinds of languages and partying a little too much. But this is also everything I'm grateful for. I couldn't have asked for better team mates. From the two hilarious French girls that I lived with on the Rambla, to the rest of the crazy French team, the nice internationals and, not to forget, our French managers. In the end it felt more like working together with your best friends than anything else.

During my time in Barcelona I have lived in 3 apartments, made countless of memories and spent more time on the beach and in the nightclubs than sleeping in my bed. It is definitely not a job as they said in the advertise, this is a lifestyle and you have to be 100 % committed. If you'r not in it to win it and want to work hard and play hard you might as well leave. Of course it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows every day, but that's also the way life is and I think you learn more from experiencing some rough patches than always dancing around on pink clouds. Cause in the end we always stood together as a team, holding each other's backs and caring for each other. It's incredible how close you can come to a relatively big group of people during such a short time. I feel like I can trust so many of them with my life and I already miss them so much. Feel like I'm leaving a little bit of my heart everywhere that I go in the world but lucky me that most of them are French and a big part will be in Paris this fall. How cool isn't it to have a big group of awesome people to hang out with here?

The Barcelona chapter with Barca Rockz is finished and the last days was the best ones, with my best friend from at home getting to know my best friends from the team, to the last boat party with everyone, to my awesome boss that I lived with in the end. All I can say is lucky me. Now we will continue here in Paris with our little Paris Rockz project, can't wait to hang out with everyone again. Then I have some upcoming trips on the grill for this fall. Just a small parenthesis that I need to find an apartment and a job here ASAP but honesty I'm not a very stressed out person. Better to sit back and enjoy the ride and do what you can. That's just life.

Thank you Barcelona and Summer Rockz for making the summer 2017 one of the best memories so far. <3
