One of the first times we all met, must have been in August 2013.
On one of the two big trips we did with the exchange students, I think it's Ruta Maya, not sure though. Rachel, me, Rachel from Brasil, Josh from Canada and Fernanda from Brasil.
Ruta Maya memorias with my favorite people. Grégoire, Rachel, Karin, Josh and Jan-Lucca.
Callejon del Beso in Guanajuato, where you're obligated to kiss someone, during the Ruta Colonial.
This was also during the Ruta Colonial, in the Six Flags amusement park not too far from Mexico City.
In the end of the exchange year we all had to do presentations about our home countries. This genuinly happy photo was taked the night when Jan-Lucca had his presentation about Germany. Such a fun night!
Mexico City during Ruta Colonial with fantastic four.
... All good things must come to an end. The day of the big goodbye for the exchange students. We spent it on the beach with lots of food, families, Rotarians and a dance show with traditional dances from everyone's countries. This photo is still my cover photo on facebook, I can't get myself to change it, too nostalgic.
This photo is from that same day at the beach, can you notice how we all always looked so genuinly happy in all the photos? I remember feeling like we were on top of the world and that nothing could ever stop us.
In one week I will be reunited with one of my best friends in the world, Rachel. She is studying abroad in Sevilla this semestre and will come and visit me in Paris. Words can't describe how happy, excited and emotional I am to finally see her again after 2,5 years! Where did the time go? I can't believe my exchange year is that far away, it still feels like yesterday. I don't think I will ever be able to describe how grateful I am for my year abroad, especially for all the amazing people I met and all the adventures we experienced. It truly was the best time I've had in my life until this day, so much love. This wasn't supposed to be a nostalgical Mexico post though (you've already had your fair share of those haven't you?), no, I was going to tell you that I just booked a flight to Sevilla in the end of november. I feel like I have to enjoy having Rachel in Europe while I can because then she's going back to the States at the end of the year. This will actually be my first trip to Spain the mainland, before I've only been to the Canary Islands and Mallorca so this will be a great experience in every way. CAN'T WAIT
