Le week-end

On Friday Hailey and I went to Musée de l'Orangerie in the Tuileries
My favorite part was definitely the big Monet paintings.
After an hour in the museum we headed to Champs Élysées where we had a look at the Christmas market and enjoyed some vin chaud - warm wine.
The sunny afternoon turned into early evening and we admired the Grand Palais...
... before heading home for some dinner. In the evening we went out, first to a bar called Aux Folies which I really recommend and then Le Comptoir Général, both really cool, laid-back places.
Around noon on Saturday I went with Marta and her boyfriend Alex to the Christmas market again to have lunch. We had tartiflettes which is a bit like a gratain, potatoes, lots of cheese and cream and some spices. Delicious and very filling. Then I met Emma and we went to the Swedish store "Affären" where I bought a star for my window and some gifts and then we went for a nice walk.
In the evening I hung out with these beauties. We started with red wine, chocolate, baguette and cheese at Ellie's place and then we went to a bar in Saint Germain and had sangria. So glad to have them in my life <3
Today, Sunday, Hailey and I had a morning in before we went for a walk to Le Marais to have falafel. Yummmm! Then I went to Starbucks and studied for three hours, such a committed student right?!
Now I'm back home waiting for Hailey to come and then I'll cook us dinner before she goes back to the States tomorrow. How pretty are my candles by the way? The sparkly one is from Primark and the others I bought in HEMA today. Love candles.
